READY, SET, GROW!

Greetings!
We are so excited that you have found The Novus Academy. My name is Amy Richard, MS. CCC-SLP/CALT. I am a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Dyslexia Therapist with 25 years of experience working with children who learn differently. Most of my career has been spent working in independent schools, with over 15 years of experience in school leadership.

I joined The Novus Academy in July of 2022 and from the moment I stepped foot on campus, I knew that Novus was a special place. If I ask any of our staff what makes Novus so special, 100% of them will respond that they love Novus because of our students! I agree wholeheartedly. I believe that given the right environment, every student can be successful. From my experience working with neurodivergent children and having a neurodivergent son, I know that students will thrive when we help them discover their strengths and develop their self-confidence.

The Novus Academy is a place that focuses on whole-child education, guiding students to find their strengths and develop a love of learning. The students at Novus don’t just learn from textbooks. Instead, they experience their learning, through hands-on activities, discussions and field trips that provide a deeper understanding of the content they are studying. At The Novus Academy, the uniqueness of our school and our students is celebrated. The connections the students make with their peers and their teachers are meaningful and authentic, and we foster a culture of kindness and gratitude.
If you are looking for a place where the staff will listen to you, care about your child and family and teach your child how they learn best, The Novus Academy is an excellent choice! A recent visitor to our school said, “The Novus Academy is a magical school!” We invite you to come and experience the magic that The Novus Academy can offer your child.

At Novus, we believe that different isn't deficit - it's an opportunity to excel in unique ways. Since 2014, our Grapevine, Texas campus, initially a K-8 private institution has been pioneering an environment where students with diverse learning needs discover their full potential by revolutionizing education for neurodiverse learners and providing truly personalized instruction that adapts to each students individual learning and style needs.
Who We Serve
The Novus Academy is a school for students in grades K-12 who have learning differences and/or other types of challenge barriers to success. We work with students who may struggle in a traditional classroom because their academic skills, executive function skills and social skills are below their same age peers. Students who are overwhelmed by the elements of a traditional classroom such as class size, peer relationships, and the lack of structure and support will benefit from The Novus Academy. To achieve success, our students must be able to learn within a group setting.
